The US band are huge fans of the 'Someone Like You' hitmaker and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael revealed she is top of his list of musicians he wants to work with.
He said: "In terms of collaborations, I don't know. My personal favourite would be to work with Adele right now. She's amazing."
However, lead singer AdamLevine is worried the singer is too popular to have time for them and spoke of his wish to work with Mumford and Sons.
He said: "Get in line. Mumford and Sons album is my favourite albumoftheyear. Last time I saw them they were rehearsing for a performance with Bob Dylan at the Grammys and they were freaking out. It was awesome to see them so excited."
Jesse said: "In the past we had this barometer, which was that if Adam hated a song, we knew it was going to be successful.
Adam added to Billboard.com: "I loved 'Jagger.' I was really worried it wasn't going to be big. I liked it a lot.
"It was one of those songs that was definitely a risk; it's a bold statement.
"We've never really released a song like that. But it's exciting to do something different, do something new. I'm just happy everyone likes it."
Maroon 5 have had connections with Swizz Beatz and Peter Edge in the past, who've all worked with the R&B superstar Alicia Keys. A collaboration with Keys is highly expected off this new record to be recorded by the band. Plus Robert Ritchie, better known as Kid Rock, has had connections recently with production work and plan on recording a track with the rocker. To other collaborations, we are not surre yet. The band has collaborated with other amazing artists in the past such as Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Lady Antebellum, and not to mention the band's current #1 pop hit single "Moves LIke Jagger"'s collabo with Christina Aguilera.
