Maroon 5 Debuts On Billboard Hot 100 With Hunger Games Track
The group has 2 songs charted on the Hot 100.
Maroon 5 made it big this week on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 single's chart as their Hunger Games track from the original motion picture soundtrack called "Come Away to the Water", featuring indiepop singer-songwriter Rozzi Crane, debuted at No. 83 on the chart. This would the the group's second Hot 100 hit after "Moves Like Jagger", currently charted at No. 31 this week.
"Come Away to the Water" also charted on the Canadian Hot 100 Singles chart of the same peak position, No. 83. It also received positive outlook on iTunes Store and Google's new music store, Google Play, this past week as it debuted on the Billboard Digital Songs chart at No. 41.
The three time Grammy-Award winning band is also looking at a good week on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 albums chart with their 2010 platinum album Hands All Over moving up a large number from 77-38. The album has so far spent a total of 75 weeks on the albums' chart in the states. Also in new music news for Maroon 5, the group recently announced on March 26th in a Rolling stones article that they will be releasing a fourth studio album this summer, dated June 26, 2012. The album is said to hold 10 tracks all roduced by major engineers such as Benny Blanco and Max Martin as well as writing material from Ryan Tedder of One Republic.
