'Payphone' Serves Third Week Atop Pop Songs Chart



Maroon 5's single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, seems to be seeking success atop the charts in the recent weeks leading to today. This week, the pop-rap song 'dials' in at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. Over on the Radio Songs chart the tune rings up another No. 1 for a fourth week respectively. On the Billboard Hot 100, the "Call Me Maybe" singer, Carly Rae Jepsen still tops the tally while Maroon 5 sits back at No. 2 for a sixth consecutive week with "Payphone." On the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart, it moves up 29-25, descends 5-7 on the Digital Songs chart, stationary at No. 6 on the Ringtone Chart, stays at No. 11 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Songs chart, and completes atop the Billboard Adult Pop Songs... at No. 1 (making "Payphone" rally up three nu-ones this week.)

The band's second Overexposed single, "One More Night" slowly creeps up the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart moving 86-82. It also debuts this week on the Billboard Pop Songs chart at No. 38! The song moves 56-52 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart after spending five weeks on the tally.

Billboard's newly published 'Songs of the Summer' chart has been up for eight weeks and Maroon 5's single "Payphone" has not moves one bit staying at No. 3 for the eighth week, falling behind Gotye's hit "Somebody That I Used to Know", featuring up and coming female singer Kimbra, and of course... Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" single topping it at No. 1. 

The band's fourth album, Overexposed, released fresh on the market on June 26th, spends it's fourth week on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart falls a harsh 5-10 (as reported yesterday on our blog). However, it seems to be seeking success on the U.K. Official Albums chart moving 3-2 on the tally. And last but never least, on the Digital Albums chart the album falls 4-11.
