Maroon 5 Scores Third Number-One With 'One More Night', Moves Like Jagger Makes Comeback

Maroon 5 Makes Third Number-One "One More Night"

Maroon 5 has done it again! The pop rock band currently touring the world right now and readying an Australian tour next month sets their sights at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with their newest single "One More Night." The single first debuted 13 weeks ago on the Hot 100 chart at No. 47. Looking backward to 2007 at their first number-one hit single "Makes Me Wonder", the band spend three weeks atop the chart. "Wonder" came from the band's only number-one platinum selling album It Won't Be Soon Before Long, which spent three weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart as well. And of course, who can forget one of the best selling hits of 2011, "Moves Like Jagger", featuring Christina Aguilera. That tune peaked atop the Hot 100 for four entire non-consecutive weeks.

With it being the almost 2 year anniversary of Maroon 5's third studio CD, Hands All Over, the album gets a fair boost the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart jumping up from 135-109 on the tally. It also takes a leap into the top ten on the Billboard Catalog Albums chart... grooving up 18-7 on the chart.

Now swinging our attention back at the band's newest No. 1 hit single "One More Night", not only did it top the tally this week, making it the band's third number-one in history, but the single also debuts big at No. 25 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Songs chart. On other chart notes, it also moved up from 8-5 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, jumped 11-5 on the Radio Songs chart, moves up four spots from 8-4 on the On-Demand Songs chart, and stays put at No. 2 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. Last but not least, the reggae pop infused tune climbs 11-9 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

The band's new album, Overexposed regains some credit for this week's new number-one triumph of "One More Night." The album leaps rebounds from 11-6 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart after falling 5-11 last week on the tally. It also climbs 12-10 on the Canadian Albums chart, and moves up a spot on the Official U.K. Albums chart from 3-2. Over on the Digital Albums chart, the album moves up 9-4.
