One Republic is set to release their long awaited third studio album, Native under Interscope Records. Frontman and songwriter Ryan Tedder announced that the band's new material "represents a fresh start for One Republic." The album's release date is set for Tues, March 26. The Colorado-based rock outfit dropped their newest single "If I Lose Myself" earlier this week as the lead single. "Feel Again", the band's 2012 hit single, was released as a promotional single to promote the new album. "Again" is currently climbing up the charts.
The band recently performed the new single "If I Lose Myself" on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve with Ryan Seacrest on December 31 to introduce the song's appeal.
"We're stoked to actually have this thing come out because we haven't put out an album in three years now and frankly I don't really want to do that again," Tedder told Billboard. "I think the world's changed, musically and that's like the worst thing you can do as an artist today is to just disappear for three years. To just go away."
Adam Levine Part-Took in Writing for Native
One Republic's Ryan Tedder also issued the Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine took part in writing material for the band's new album. A demo called "Love Lost" was said to have been written by Levine, Tedder, and producer Greg Wells, and may feature on Native's standard album list. Ryan wrote and produced Maroon 5's song's "The Man Who Never Lied" and "Lucky Strike" for the band's newest album Overexposed, which dropped last June.
