'Daylight' Reaches Top 10 on Pop 40
The Lonely Island's "YOLO" debuts & Maroon 5's "Daylight" breaks through Pop 40's top 10
Maroon 5's new single "Daylight" makes the cut for the top ten on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. The single moves up 11-9 on the tally marking the band's ninth entry in the top ten. Frontman Adam Levine's feature in The Lonely Island's single "Y.O.L.O." charted on the Billboard Digital Songs chart this week at No. 13. That marks TLI's third debut on the chart since their "Jack Sparrow" single dropped in 2011.
For Maroon 5's "Daylight", the single moves up 17-14 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. We can expect a top ten entry on the Hot 100 chart later in to February. On other chart notes, the single jumps 11-9 on the Pop Songs chart, as previously noted, jumps 15-12 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart, descends a single notch fro 9-10 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart, slides up 12-9 on the Adult Pop Songs chart, entering the Adult Contemporary Songs chart at No. 30, marking the band's third single in its top 30 positions, and falls 10-11 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 singles chart on its tenth week on the tally.
The band's early 2012 Wiz Khalifa-assisted single "Payphone", the single still stands strong on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart's top ten as it hasn't left the tally in over 6 months since it's entry (moving 11-9). This week, "Payphone" stays put at a hefty No. 10.
"One More Night", Maroon 5's previous nine week Billboard Hot 100 chart topper, moves up a space from 18-17 on the Hot 100 after falling last week from 11-18, it's biggest fall the song's history on the chart. On hooter chart notes, "One More Night" falls 19-23 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, doesn't move at No. 10 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart, moves up 20-18 on the On-Demand Songs chart, falls off the top 25 position on the Digital Songs chart, jumps 5-4 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart, falls 16-21 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 singles chart (on it's 33rd week on the tally), and stays put at No. 18 on the Streaming Songs chart. The Streaming Songs chart was recently added earlier this year to the Billboard company to rank the top 20 streaming songs via VEVO, YouTube (ect.)
Over on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, the band's fourth CD, Overexposed falls 26-31 on the chart. the band's 2010 studio album Hands All Over takes a fall from 165-191 on the tally. Last week, the band's debut album, released in 2002, titled Songs About Jane charted, however fell off the top 200 positions this week.
