It was announced earlier today (Sun, April 14) that pop rock band Maroon 5 marked yet another milestone on the American Top 40 singles chart. "Daylight" marks the band's sixth No. 1 on the AT40's forty song positions and also in 4th place for a rock band to have the most No. 1's on the chart.
Legendary rock band The Beatles are ahead with the most No. 1's on the Pop Songs chart with 20 singles to top the tally. The Fab-Four park it in first place. Second place goes to rock veterans The Rolling Stones in which have scored 9 No. 1's in rock history (that's 11 spots in between first and second place). And in third place, before Maroon 5, marks disco-funk-rock group The Bee Gee's with 7 No. 1 singles on the Pop Songs chart in rock history.

"We are like star struck that we are right there with The Beatles and the Stone," singer Adam Levine had told Billboard last month. "We love to make music that gets people's attention and surprises people because we aren't all that rock and roll but at the same time we are."
Maroon 5 announced that their next radio single will be "Love Somebody", which is set to be released on May 14. Make sure you purchase the single on iTunes Store now!
