Maroon 5 Moves Up on the Adult Contemporary Chart
Maroon 5 was announced yesterday that they were the highest selling group or band in the U.K. with nearly 1.5 million copies sold of their 2011 hit "Moves Like Jagger", featuring Christina Aguilera and were presented with 17 million records sold worldwide as of earlier this week. "Daylight" has peaked at a near 1 million mark so far in it's journey on the charts.
Adam Levine will be awarded for the BMI Award for Pop President in May.
Maroon 5's single "Daylight" falls a spot this week on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart descending a spot 13-14. This week, Bruno Mars scored his fifth number-one single on the Hot 100, surpassing Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop." On other chart notes, "Daylight" falls 4-5 on the Radio Songs chart, stays put at No. 3 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart (after reigning it for 3 weeks), jumps 13-11 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart, and falls off the top spot 1-3 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.
"One More Night" stays put at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. On other chart notes. "Night" slips a spot from Nos. 32-33, and falls 9-10 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart.
Maroon 5's No. 2-peaking studio album Overexposed falls 24-27 this week on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart.
