"Daylight" is predicted to break the Hot 100's Top 10 sooner than later

As Maroon 5's new single "Daylight" moves up the charts, the band's debut album Songs About Jane finds itself re-entering the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart. "Daylight" jumps 21-18 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its eighth week on the chart. At this rate, the single will find itself in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 in a matter of three to four weeks depending on its radio audience gaining. Meanwhile, on the Billboard 200, 'SAJ' makes an appearance on the tally coming in at No. 179. The 2002 album was lowered in price on iTunes Store under the Best of Pop: 2000's category.

The song has yet to peak the Top 25 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart.

Maroon 5's recent 9 week No. 1 running single "One More Night" falls a whoppin' 11-17 on the Billboard Hot 100. The reggae pop Max Martin-produced track spent the last two weeks out of the Hot 100's Top 10 stuck at No. 11, this week making its biggest fall in it's chart history. Adam Levine Talks About Yoga in Men's Health

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine talks about his passion for yoga

Adam Levine is one of the biggest pop stars of our time in the biggest band of our generation. How does he stay healthy and fit? Yoga. Singer Adam Levine is in the best shape of his life, thanks to his daily practice of yoga. The workout regimen has not only made him lean and sinewy, but calm and centered.

Adam Levine, who weighs a wiry 165 pounds, says yoga has enabled him to better channel his nervous energy.

"I have a hard time sitting still," says Levine, who follows a mostly vegan diet. "I can be all over the map. Yoga has given me the ability to be more focused and make better decisions that come from a clear place."

Adam, who's a judge on the reality TV competition "The Voice," is in the midst of a grueling 30-city tour with Maroon 5. Yoga helps him maintain his physical stamina and mental focus despite his hectic schedule.

"A lot of times people will think, 'I'm strong, I'm in shape; why can't I do this pose?' " says Levine, who couldn't touch his toes when he began doing yoga in 2006. "But that's not the point. There's nothing to win in yoga. You just do what you can do, one day to the next."

Levine, who's frequently on tour, says yoga is the most convenient way to exercise when he's on the road.

"You don’t need anything but a few feet of space and a mat," he says. "And I can always find at least an hour a day to practice. Yoga will drastically improve you in every way imaginable."

New Chart Updates

Billboard's new adjustment to the site's database causes more disadvantages

Billboard has made a more-of-a-slight adjustment on their website earlier this week as well as a new design on their magazines.

Due to the progressive change in Billboard's database, our weekly chart updates will be a little less utilized and chart data history will be more of a "hassle" to gather. We have taken a snapshot of Maroon 5's current chart rankings highlighted under their web name on Billboard.com and this is what all chart previews will look like from now on (see imagine below).

The sudden change has made it a little more difficult to gather weekly chart information now that there is no display option for the chart rankings. However, we will still provide you the news you need to know on where Maroon 5 charts each and every week such as the Billboard 200, Billboard Hot 100, and Billboard Pop Songs charts.

PJ Morton Premieres 'Only One' Single

PJ Morton Releases Stevie Wonder-Assisted "Only One" Single

PJ Morton released his new single "Only One" earlier today (Mon, Jan. 28) from his upcoming album New Orleans, which is set to drop on May 14, 2013 under Young Money Records. The single samples a jazz and soul sound with piercing drum beats and carries a highly catchy chorus with memorable versus in between.

Long time soul veteran Stevie Wonder is featured on the track playing the harmonica and other notable instruments such as the keyboard and backing vocals.

"Stevie is my biggest influence," he told Billboard of the collaboration. "Out of anybody, Stevie's really the one that I studied the most growing up in music, so we literally tried everything to get him on the song."

Morton said he met with Stevie Wonder personally and then followed up with the idea of the collaboration. Thanks to the positive response from both Wonder and an associate in his camp, the inclusion of the music legend on the track came to fruition.

"'New Orleans' for me is getting back to when I initially fell in love with music and when I just did music just because I had fun doing it," he said. "That was before I understood the radios, marketing, all of that. I thought I was going to sell one billion records just because it was good. My first major label debut album is because of that city, so I feel like 'New Orleans' sums up everything I wanted to say."

PJ Morton is currently prepping for a North American tour with band mates Adam Levine, Mickey Madden, and the guys of Maroon 5 to promote their newest album Overexposed, which dropped on June 26 last year.

Adam Levine on SNL: What the Critics Are Saying

'The Voice' Coach Makes Hosting Debut and Pleases Many Critics

Adam Levine made his big hosting debut on Saturday Night Live last night (Jan. 26) on NBC and did more than just a fine job. In fact, it caught the attention of many critics and news renders. Let's take a look at what everyone thought of the Maroon 5 lead singer's stint.

New York Times

The New York Times weighed in on what they thought about one of the most anticipated episode's of the season last night. They called Adam Levine one of the 'hottest rockers to become a host' on the show. "It's crazy to think that someone who has only been on reality TV can pursue such acting on Saturday Night Live." Later comparing the episode to Bruno Mars' hosting episode, they said "Adam Levine's masculine body adds up for all of the conceptual acting however, something Bruno Mars didn't need."

Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone magazine quickly engaged on their thoughts on the first timer's episode last night. Editor and publisher Logan Nicklaus said it "reminded him of high school" when hot and slightly attractive frontmen of bands and hip hop rappers starred on Saturday Night Live. "Adam Levine took to the stage for his monologue, dapper in a suit, yet perfectly unshaven. But perhaps in his week with the SNL writers, at some point he realized that he badly needed to hide his insecurities."

Huffington Post

The guys of the Huffington Post seemed slightly convinced that Adam Levine was simply looking for another way to exert his attention in a comedic view, as a slight cry for attention. "So, here's what we learned last night: Adam Levine is not a particularly good "SNL" host," the article began. "Levine certainly didn't phone it in but, like many a musical guest-turned-host before him, this just really didn't work out. At least he gave a nice effort though." Their comment on the 'Maroon 5 and Train' sketch was rather amusing: It just had "this should be much better" written all over it. Sure, Levine is a good sport to mock his own musical stylings. But, in the end, nothing really happened."

Adam Levine Rocks 'SNL' As First Time Host, New 'YOLO' Single with Lonely Island

Adam Levine's 'SNL' Hosting Debut Turns Out Spectacular

It is safe to say that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine blew everybody's minds off on Jan. 26th episode of Saturday Night Live as a first time host on the late night comedy show, participating in numerous skits including him getting in a rave with Train and portraying Neil Diamond. The episode grossed over 1.1 million audience viewers in the United States alone, making it the second best episode with the most impressions in this season alone following Bruno Mars' episode.

Adam Levine also featured in the new Lonely Island single "Y.O.L.O (No No)", also featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar, which was shown on the show as well. The single will soon be available for digital download on iTunes Store.

Prince Speaks About Maroon 5's Cover, Slams Madonna

Prince says Maroon 5's "Kiss" cover is unnecessary

In a recent interview with Billboard magazine  pop veteran and Minnesota musician Prince spook a few words about Maroon 5's rock and roll twist on the cover of "Kiss", and shared his thoughts about Madonna's fame life.

Maroon 5 recorded a cover of Prince's No. 1 1986 hit single "Kiss", which was off of the album Parade. The pop rock band went out of their comfort zone and reevaluate the song's texture and sound by adding a lengthy rock 'n roll spin on to the track. "Why do we need to hear another cover of a song someone else did?" he quips in the interview, noting that he has no problem with artists performing covers during live shows. "Art is about building a new foundation, not just laying something on top of what's already there."

The "Kiss" cover is featured on Maroon 5's deluxe edition of their fourth album Overexposed, released last June., peaking at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart.

Prince and Madonna, also 54, famously tussled in the public eye after briefly dating in 1985 and collaborating on Madonna's track "Love Song" from her 1988 album Like a Prayer. "It was always about Madonna," he tells the magazine, explaining why his relationship with the record label went sour. "She was getting paid, but at the same time we were selling more records and selling out concerts on multiple nights."

Prince is on the new issue of Billboard magazine. Read more about it here:

Daylight Moves Up on Digital Songs Chart

"Daylight" soon to be Maroon 5's greatest digital post album release single?

Maroon 5 is undeniably climbing the charts with each passing week with the single "Daylight", moving up the Billboard Digital Songs chart jumping from 20-13 on the chart. The soft rock track is becoming one of the band's highest selling post album release singles in history since "Moves Like Jagger", featuring Christina Aguilera, was released in 2011, over a year after the release of their 2010 studio set Hands All Over. "Jagger" took approximately eleven weeks before making a mark on the Digital Songs chart, as it is only taking "Daylight" nine weeks since it's radio airplay release date in November.

The Max Martin soft rock produced track is also getting comfortable sitting in the top 40 in charts marketing in over 10 countries around the world. The song entered at No. 19 in Australia according to the A.R.I.A. In other countries "Daylight" sits at No. 8 in Belgium, No. 15 in Canada, No. 11 in New Zealand, No. 5 in South Korea, and of course moving up 25-21 on the Billboard Hot 100 here in the United States. On other chart notes, "Daylight" holds in at No. 17 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, takes a leap from 27-18 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart, jumps 20-13 on the Digital Songs chart, and moves up 15-13 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Maroon 5's former nine week No. 1 single "One More Night" spends its second week out of the Billboard Hot 100's top ten at No. 11 again. "Night" is seemingly descending on the charts in the United States except however for the Adult Contemporary Songs chart in which the reggae-pop fused track moves up 8-5 on the tally. On other chart notes, the single falls a spot from 10-11 on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart, falls 5-6 on the Radio Songs chart, descends 27-31 on the Digital Songs chart, spends its second week on the Streaming Songs chart falling 15-16, stays put at No. 16 on the On-Demand Songs chart, and falls 5-7 on the Adult Pop Songs chart. Over in Canada, "One More Night" falls 11-15 on the Canadian Hot 100 singles chart.

The band's 2012 studio album Overexposed spends its thirtieth week on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart falling 19-30 on the tally. It became Maroon 5's only album to stay in the top thirty on the Billboard 200 albums chart without leaving the top thirty since the band's 2007 released It Won't Be Soon Before Long spent 34 weeks in the top thirty after debuting at No. 1 on the chart. On other chart notes, Overexposed jumps 18-15 on the Digital Albums chart, and falls 21-25 on the Canadian Albums chart.

Adam Levine Talks with Seacrest on Morning Show About The Voice, SNL Gig

Adam Levine called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk with Ryan about his exclusive scoop on his gig hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, on Saturday, Jan. 26th. He also talked about season 4 of The Voice and how he fits in with the newer coaches.

Adam talked about his stint on Saturday Night Live and what he had to do to prepare for the big night. “We’re getting down to the nitty gritty as far as deciding what we’re going to do and how we’re going to do it," he said to Seacrest. "I don’t want to play it safe. I think that that’s pretty much the consensus that I don’t want to be lobbed things to kind of easily knock out. I want to be a part of the show as much as I possibly can. So, that’s my goal,” Adam says. So, is he nervous? “I’m trying not to think about that too much, because it will become that and then I’ll freak out. It’s mostly just really fun, a blast, it’s super cool, and very, very rare that anyone gets to do it…Life just kind of continues at this point to be surreal and amazing. It’s a trip…Things just continue to happen, these amazing milestones just continue.”

Adam tells the on air crue about NBC's season 4 of The Voice, “We did the blind auditions. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to talk about that, but we did.” Shakira and Usher will be joining “The Voice” for season 4. “I had never met Shakira before. I had met Usher, we had just kind of crossed paths and we have friends in common. He’s always been nothing but wonderful, a super nice guy, obviously a great talent, and it’s great to have him on the show. Shakira I really only met the first day of shooting, who is so wonderful, so sweet, so rad, so amazing, she’s a badass.”

Adam Levine Preps As Homeless Man for 'SNL' Skit

Maroon 5 Singer preps for his spot on the 'SNL' digital short

Dressed up as a homeless man, Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach Adam Levine flashed a sign that read "YOLO" spray painted on a pierce of cardboard while filming a new music video short skit for his stint on NBC's Saturday Night Live, set to air this Saturday, January 26.

Andy Sanburg and the guys of comedy rap band The Lonely Island were seen with Levine, who is hosting this week's SNL show on Jan. 26th, in Los Angeles, California on January 18 shooting the comedy sketch. It is said that it is most likely going to be an SNL Digital Short, which is a short music video segment rarely achieved in recent seasons of the late night show.

A rumor spread earlier this week as photos leaked from the shoot that Adam Levine's band Maroon 5 were shooting a music video for their own song "Love Somebody", however all rumors were fabricated according to sources confirming it was indeed a Saturday Night Live skit being filmed in downtown L.A.

Love Somebody: 3 Hints As to If It's the Next Video

Maroon 5's Next Video & Single Might Be "Love Somebody"?

Maroon 5's on the go with their newest single "Daylight", from their fourth studio set Overexposed, which was released just a few months ago for radio airplay, and a music video that dropped right before the holidays, so what's the controversy of the "Love Somebody" music video shoot?

We got you're answers.

Personally, I don't have any resources stating that "Love Somebody" is indeed the next single and the next video, however there are clues as to how it just might be.

Instagram Leak? Adam Levine and Jeff Dotson

A photo of Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine and director and long time music video screenplay writer Jeffrey Dotson was uploaded to photo sharing network Instagram earlier today (Jan 18) using hash tags #adamlevine #maroon5 #fistpump #behindthescenes. BIG CLUE.

Adam Levine covered in blue with a model

Sir Adam Levine was on the set of the (supposed video) shoot with a model. Who exactly? Her name is Emily Ratajkowski which is apparently played as the partner in the love-hate relationship on the music video.

A band performance from a Behind the Scenes perspective.

We can see a glimpse of Maroon 5 drummer Matt Flynn in this clear cut shot which was uploaded to an Adam Levine fan site earlier this week. We get a behind the scenes view and perspective of this shot of the making of the new video.

Well there you have it. All of the suspicious, visible clues we've kept getting feed to this week. It's safe to say there's a music video shoot going on, but is it for "Love Somebody"? Or is it for what some think is for the funk rock song "Ladykiller"? We'll have to see.

You can follow Maroon 5 on Instagram at @maroon5. You can share your very own photos and use hash tag #maroon5 as well for a chance of having the band see your picture.

Maroon 5 Falls Off Top 10 on Hot 100

Maroon 5 Falls Off the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 chart

Maroon 5's previous No. 1 hit single "One More Night" ha fallen off the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart's top ten positions. This is the first time "Night" has seen the other side of the top twenty on the chart since before it entered back in September of 2012. "One More Night" is settling down on the other pop formatted charts as well, loosing audience gains, faster than the band's single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, did back in August when the song fell off the top ten on the Hot 100. "Night" spent 9 weeks atop the Hot 100 singles chart consecutively tying Carly Rae Jepsen for the longest running No. 1 hit of last year.

So what did "One More Night" fall to? The reggae pop influenced track fell last week from 8-9. This week the single falls 9-11 on the Billboard Hot 100. On other chart notes, "Night" also descends 7-10 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, descends 16-23 on the Dance/Club Play Songs chart, falls 4-5 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart, descends 15-27 on the Digital Songs chart, debuts at No. 16 on the Top Streaming Songs chart, falls a spot 15-16 on the On-Demand Songs chart, falls 14-16 on the Ringtone's Chart, moves up 11-8 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart, and stays a hold at No. 5 on the Adult Pop Songs chart. Over in Canada, on the Canadian Hot 100 singles chart, the single moves up 12-11 on the tally.

Maroon 5's newest installment from their fourth CD, Overexposed titled "Daylight" has definetaly taken affect on the Billboard charts in the past few weeks in the new year. Last week, "Daylight" entered the Top 40 format on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart moving up to No. 34. This week, the soft rock Coldplay-influenced track moves up a whoppin' 34-25 on the tally. On other chart notes, "Daylight" jumps 18-17 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, ascends 33-27 on the Radio Songs chart, over on the Digital Songs chart, "Daylight" jumps 33-20 on the tally, leaps from 25-16 on the Canadian Hot 100 singles chart (becoming Maroon 5's tenth top 20 entry), and moves up 17-15 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

The band's fourth album, Overexposed, falls 16-21 on the Billboard Digital Albums chart. Over on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the album descends two spots from 17-19 on the tally. The band's 2010 album, Hands All Over, still holding strong on the chart, falls 141-151 on the Billboard 200, also descends 16-27 on the Catalog Albums chart. The Catalog Albums chart ranks the top 35 best selling albums released prior to the past year's retail releases.

'One More Night' Slowly Falling of Hot 100 Top 10, 'Daylight' Takes Leap

Maroon 5's big win last night at the People's Choice Awards did them good. The band took home the award for Favorite Band competing against the likes of No Doubt and Green Day. The pop rock band's former 9 week No. 1 hit single "One More Night" is slowly descending off the top ten positions on the Billboard Hot 100. This week "Night" falls a notch 8-9, as for the past four weeks it's descended a single spot each week from No. 3.

On other chart notes, "One More Night" moves up 10-7 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, stays put and No. 4 on the Radio Songs chart, descends from 11-15 on the Digital Songs chart, falls 12-15 on the Billboard On-Demand Songs chart, gains a spot 15-14 on the Ringtone's Chart, holds at No. 11 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart, falls a spot from 11-12 on the Canadian Hot 100 singles chart, and stays hold at No. 5 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

For the band's newest single "Daylight", it has shown major positive reactions over the past few weeks. On the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart "Daylight" takes a leap from No. 42 to 34 on the chart. On other chart notes for "Daylight", the soft rock tune moves up 19-18 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, jumps 40-33 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart, also jumps 44-33 on the Digital Songs chart, moves up 30-25 on the Canadian Hot 100 singles chart, and last but not least, it moves up 18-17 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Maroon 5's Grammy nominated fourth album, Overexposed it moves up 19-17 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart after a moderately digital success rate in this past week's online sales. On other chart notes, the pop fix album re-enters the Digital Albums chart at No. 16 after falling from No. 28 two weeks prior to this sales week.

People's Choice Awards: Maroon 5 Wins Favorite Band

Maroon 5 Took Home Favorite Band at the 2013 People's Choice Awards

Let's try to figure this out. Jensen and Jared of the show Supernatural presented the award for Favorite Band, and it just happened to be our very own Maroon 5. Unbelievable! Maroon 5 won their first award of the night up against the likes of  No Doubt, Green Day, and let's not forgot the chart competitors Linkin Park. Park's album Living Things debuted atop the Billboard 200 last July beating out Maroon 5's Overexposed to the No. 1 spot on the chart. But it looks good for Maroon 5 this time! With all of the tremendous success over the past year, the No. 1 Hot 100 single "One More Night" and having the highest grossing digital song of the year, "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, it only made sense.

However for the band's other nominations for the 2013 PCA's, Katy Perry and her video for "Part of Me" took home the award for Favorite Music Video. Boy band One Direction also took home the award for Favorite Album for their record Up All Night.

Maroon 5 Make Top Ten Digital Songs of 2012... Twice

Maroon 5's success over the past year is unlike any other band's mainstream success, we know. But who knew that the band would park it not only once... but TWICE in the top ten on the highest selling singles of last year?

The L.A-based band's single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, landed at No. 4 on the the list, selling 490,000 copies in it's first week and selling an overall whopping 4.76 million copies all year. The band's second Overexposed single "One More Night" plants it at No. 10 on the top list selling 12,000 in it's first week due to the album's retail release, and selling an overall 3.46 million throughout the year. "Night"'s success on the charts was remarkable, sitting comfortable at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for 9 weeks in a row, tying Carly Rae Jepsen's single "Call Me Maybe" for the longest running No. 1 single of the year. "Payphone"'s position on the Hot 100 chart only peaked at No. 2 for weeks and weeks on end, debuting at No. 3, but still make records for the highest selling first week copies sold online.

As "Night" falls slowly off the Adult Pop chart and the Hot 100, the band's new single "Daylight" is starting to gain in recognition on the charts.

Since the song's mainstream release (on Nov. 27) it gained over 12% from it's original stand-put since it's retail release on June 26th.

The band's new album Overexposed, released on June 26th, was on sale over on Amazon's music store on the internet for only $4.99 and over the holidays it was a tad bit more for $7.99 on the iTunes Store. The pop infused album jumps from 28-19 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, as well as moving up 18-14 on the Canadian Albums chart.
