Adam Levine's role as 'Voice' coach and use in social media outlets push Maroon 5 up Social chart

This week, pop rock group Maroon 5 find themselves climbing up the Billboard Social media chart, which ranks the top 50 most sociable, interactive, and talked-about artists, bands, and artists in music at the moment. Adam Levine's role as a coach and mentor on The Voice and his latest use in social media (Facebook, Shop Your Way, Twitter...) has caused a push for the band on the chart.

According to Billboard magazine, Levine's appearance, which was promoted through Maroon 5's social channels, caused a rise in online conversation characterized by a 41% in retweets on Twitter and a 19% increase in mentions as more than 24,000 people talked about the band on the platform. They also added 48,000 new Twitter followers (up 35% from the previous week). On Facebook, a 17% jump in conversation about Maroon 5 pushes a 95% jump in weekly fan acquisition (for a gain of 514,000 new followers).
