It was confirmed on national live television last night (Tues, May 20) on The Voice's season finale that Adam Levine would sign his finalist Christina Grimmie to his record label. The Voice coach and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine promised Grimmie a spot on his record label if she did not win The Voice's sixth season on last night's finale episode.
Christina Grimmie was a top 3 finalist on NBC's television show The Voice and was an essential member of Team Adam since the Blind Auditions in March. On last night's finale episode, Grimmie was placed in third while Team Blake's Jake Worthington came in second and Team Usher's Josh Kaufman was crowned "The Voice."
Adam Levine's record label, 222 Records, has three other acts on it's bill which include up and coming jazz fusion singer Rozzi Crane, Glee actor Matthew Morrison, and former Voice alum and Team Adam member Tony Lucca. Crane and Lucca have both toured with Levine and Maroon 5 on the Honda Civic Tour last Fall.
Christina Grimmie is planning to write and record her first major label studio album this summer with help from coach Adam Levine who will be executive producing it.
