The Voice star claims that there are some problems with the NBC hit show

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine spoke up about his current thoughts on this coming season of The Voice, which is set to premiere for it's seventh time on Monday, September 22 on NBC. Levine claims that the show indeed needs some sort of a revamp.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone magazine, The Voice judge and coach explained that he thinks there are some issues with the program that need to be addressed: "I'm not going to lie to you, I think there are problems."

"About a million people watch the show every week and fall in love with a singer, then you don't hear much from them. We haven't had a breakout success like Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. [The show is] very successful, but it's got a ways to go."

In other news, Maroon 5 is fresh off their newest single "Maps" which dropped this Monday (June 16) and is currently charting in the top-ten on the iTunes Store chart. The band's fifth studio album, V is set to drop on September 2 through Interscope Records.
