Maroon 5 premiere their new pop-glistened single, "Maps"

Maroon 5's long-awaited new single titled "Maps" has finally hit the web and is available to stream online. The single lead's the Los Angeles pop rock band's highly anticipated fifth studio effort, V set to be released on their new home of Interscope Records on Tuesday, September 2.. The song illuminates a glistening, effortless and infectious pop sound that is picture-perfect for a summer anthem.

The new album, V will also feature the pop ballad "My Heart is Open" featuring songwriter Sia, and the power pop tune "Animals."

It was confirmed that a music video for "Maps" was filmed in New York earlier this week when photos of singer Adam Levine and drummer Matt Flynn were seen behind the set along with a photo of a girl modeling by a car.

According to DirectLyrics, "Maps" is about Adam trying to find the girl that turned her back to him when he was at his worst but whom he still loves. The chorus of the song completely addictive. It was written by Adam Levine, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, and Noel Zancanella and production was done by Blanco and Ammar Malik.
