Maroon 5 Tops Canadian Hot 100 with 'Maps'

Maroon 5 now has a No. 1 single in Canada. And it's "Maps."
The band has scored their fourth No. 1 single in the Canadian country this week with their hit single, "Maps", the lead single from their upcoming fifth studio album, V, which is slated for a September 1 and 2 release on Interscope Records next month. "Maps" also finds itself remaining in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the States staying at No. 7 after last week's fall from it's peak at No. 6. The band's promotional single, "It Was Always You" finds itself in Canada's top 100 singles chart this week as well, debuting at No. 19 on the tally. "It Was Always You" also impacted the United Kingdom debuting at No. 40 on the U.K. Singles chart.
On other chart notes, the "Maps" single slides up from 8-6 on the Billboard Radio Songs chart reaching it's new peak on the tally. "Maps" also descends 8-9 on the Digital Songs chart, stays still at No. 19 on the Streaming Songs chart, falls out of the top 10 from 9-11 on the On-Demand Songs chart, debuts at No. 22 on the Ringtones Chart, stays put at No. 6 on the Pop Songs chart, ascends 16-13 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart, stays at No. 4 on the Adult Pop Songs chart, and as previously reported, tops the Canadian Hot 100.
Maroon 5's latest cut from their V album, "It Was Always You", debuted at No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, however fell out of the chart's top 100 slots. This week, "Always" debuts at No. 2 on the South Korean Chart and enters at No. 40 on the United Kingdom Singles chart.
Don't forget, Maroon 5 will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sun, Aug. 24th at 9/8c PM on MTV and MTV 2.
Adam Levine will be presenting at the Emmy Awards on Mon, Aug. 25th at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC.
Maroon 5 will stream their new album V in it's entirety, along with an intimate Q&A session with the band, and a live performance on The CW on Aug. 26th from 9-8pm ET, presented by iHeartRadio.
