Maroon 5 Meets New Peak With 'Animals' on Billboard Chart

"Animals" roars into the Top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100

Maroon 5's hit single, "Animals", the latest cut from their fifth studio album, V, is slowly making it's way up the Billboard Hot 100 top 10, this week sliding up from last week's position of 4 to 3. "Animals" debuted on the Hot 100 over 12 weeks ago at No. 86. 

Billboard reported yesterdayMaroon 5's "Animals" reaches a new Hot 100 high, pushing 4-3. It gains across-the-board, climbing 5-3 on Radio Songs (126 million, up 19 percent) and bulleting on Digital Songs (3-5; 114,000, up 4 percent) and Streaming Songs (10-13; 5.3 million, up 3 percent), despite backward moves on the latter two rankings.

A few fun facts, the band's single "Maps", the first cut from V, debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually snuck it's way up to No. 6. "Animals" marks the band's 5th Hot 100 top 3, and Maroon 5's first since "One More Night" charted at No. 1 for 9 weeks in 2012.

Maroon 5 recently performed "Animals" on NBC's The Voice in celebration of the Live Playoffs kick-off episode on Monday, Nov. 10. Watch the performance below!
