|The Voice season 7 finalists.|
On tonight's live season 7 finale of NBC's reality show The Voice, performances and guest appearances got us through the evening's final results night as the winner of The Voice was crowned.
First off, the night's first performance kicked off with the show's Top 20 contestants performing Bastille's number-one hit single "Pompeii" on The Voice stage (which could have been arguably better). Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd took the stage to perform Georgia Satellites' hit "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" with former contestants DeNica Shirey, Sugar Joans, and Taylor Brashears. Indie pop singer Hozier then took the stage to perform his single "Take Me To Church." Team Adam finalist Chris Jamison, Luke, Ricky, Ryan, and Taylor then took the stage to perform the 2011 hit "Dedication to My Ex" by Lloyd and Andre 3000. Team Adam finalist then followed-up with a performance with pop punk band Fall Out Boy singing "Centuries" on stage.
Former Voice contestants Bryana Salaz, DeNica Shirey, Jean Kelley, Mia Pfirrman, and Sugar Joans performed one of the better performances of the night, singing "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj. Bruno Mars and Grammy Award-winning producer Mark Ronson took the stage to perform "Uptown Funk." Class rock 'n roll band Lynyrd Skynyrd then took the stage to perform "Sweet Home Alabama" with Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd. One of 2014's largest breakout stars Meghan Trainor performed "Lips Are Movin'" live on stage. Team Adam finalist Damien Lawson then performed the soulful-jazzy hit "It's Your World" with Jennifer Hudson. Ed Sheeran then returned to The Voice after performing "One" on last season's finale, performing "Thinking Out Loud" on stage.
Following Sheerans' performance, Team Adam's finalist Matt McAndrew performed "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac with Taylor John, Taylor Phelan, Mia Pfirrman, and Sugar Jones. Team Adam finalist Damien Lawson brought back DaNica, Anita, and Elijah to perform "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" originally by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell. Team Adam finalist Chris Jamison performed with Jessie J singing her new single "Masterpiece" live on stage.
The final performance of the night was coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton performing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", and fans and viewers cheered and sang along joyfully at home.
Finally, the winner of The Voice was crowned. Fourth place was Team Adam's Damien Lawson. The third place contestant was Team Adam's Chris Jamison. And the winner was announced to be... Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd, leaving Team Adam's Matt McAndrew in second place.
The Voice is set to return for it's 8th season in February 2015 on NBC with coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton!
