Maroon 5 may be already working on their next studio effort.
Just a day following their last date on the North American leg of their Maroon 5 World Tour, the Billboard Music Award-nominated band is back in the studio, more specifically at Conway Studios, in Los Angeles, recording new material.
According to an Instagram post by guitarist James Valentine that was posted Tuesday night (April 7), the band is already "back in the studio blowing up amps", as stated by Valentine as the photo's caption.
The photo displays founding member and guitarist Jesse Carmichael listening and observing while handling a guitar that is hooked up to a fancy pedal board in the background and producer Noah Passovoy sitting in a chair looking like he is critiquing. Hardcore Maroon 5 fans will know that Passovoy is a longtime friend of the guys in the group and has worked with Maroon 5 on their previous effort, V on songs such as the hit single "Maps", along with "Unkiss Me" and "Leaving California."
But, to appease the less optimistic, this photo could just resemble Valentine and friend Carmichael jamming out to random sounds and what-nots over some amplifiers with Passovoy. But we like to wish for the best possible outcome.
It won't be soon before long, kids.
