R. City and Adam Levine have locked in their first Hot 100 top 10

I haven't reported any sort of chart news for Maroon 5 nor Adam Levine in several months. In fact, I had cancelled the weekly Thursday chart updates due to me being constantly busy with work, college, ect. But I thought a quick update would be fitting.

So let's get to it.

This week on the Billboard Hot 100, we see hip-hop duo R. City and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine sliding into the top-ten from No. 16 to No. 8 after being on the chart for only 6 weeks. "Locked Away" has also achieved success on other charts peaking at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart, No. 8 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart, No. 9 on the Radio Songs chart, No. 13 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, No. 17 on the Adult Top 40 Singles chart, No. 20 on the Streaming Songs chart, and No. 22 on the Rhythmic Songs chart.

Over the summer, Maroon 5's two latest hit singles "Sugar" and "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherf**ker" both achieved successful radio airplay.

After spending 52 weeks on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart, Maroon 5's latest studio album V has enjoyed peaking atop the tally a number of times throughout the last year (it's one year anniversary was held on Sept. 2). The album currently sits at No. 35 after falling from No. 28 last week.
