Season 12 sees Adam Levine's 12th consecutive return as coach

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has just been confirmed by the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) that he will be returning once again for season 12 of the reality television show The Voice for its 12th season.

Season 12 will mark the return of coach and No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, as she will be replacing this season's new-coming coach Miley Cyrus. Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton will be returning as coaches as well. The season is set to premiere in February of 2017.

Levine and Shelton have been labelled as "veteran coaches" for the show. The two have been signed on since its inaugural season in March 2011. Throughout the years Usher, Shakira, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green have all been coaches.

It has also been confirmed that coaches Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams will be returning for the show's 13th season next fall.
