The music video for "What Lovers Do" has arrived and it's an adventure
Maroon 5 have unveiled their highly anticipated music video for their latest single "What Lovers Do", featuring R&B singer SZA, early on Thursday. The video is a three and a half minute action-adventure ride, as lead singer Adam Levine and SZA run, fly, and glide through different worlds and are met with conflicts along the way.

The "What Lovers Do" music video was filmed in Los Angeles in early August and was directed by Joseph Kahn, who had previously directed Maroon 5's music video for the 2010 single "Misery", off of the album Hands All Over. Kahn has directed music videos for big time artists such as Taylor Swift ("Look What You Made Me Do", "Bad Blood", "Wildest Dreams"), OneRepublic ("Wherever I Go"), and Imagine Dragons ("Thunder").
Maroon 5 are expected to release their sixth studio album, the follow-up to 2014's V, later this year. Levine revealed to Zane Lowe on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio station that the band may release the LP in November of this year. The group has been teasing fans about the new record by posting clips, studio teasers, and GIFs of members in the studio.
"What Lovers Do" was released on August 30. It has since peaked at No. 25 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart, No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 13 on the Hot 100 Radio Songs chart, No. 11 on the Hot AC Songs chart, and has been streamed 68 million times on Spotify and charted at No. 2 on the Apple Music Chart.
