PJ Morton, Maroon 5 keyboardist, premieres new music video 'Go Thru Your Phone'

PJ Morton just dropped his brand new music video for "Go Thru Your Phone"

Soul artist, Maroon 5 keyboardist since 2010, and musician PJ Morton has released his latest music video for his new song "Go Thru Your Phone".

The jazzy-soul tune comes off of Morton's latest studio release, entitled Gumbo, which dropped earlier this year in April. The album is a follow-up to the solo artist's 2013 album New Orleans, which was released on Lil Wayne's record label Young Money Entertainment. The album has won a plethora of praise. Producer Warryn Campbell (Kanye West, Alicia Keys) posted on his Instagram page that Gumbo is the "album of the decade." Legendary music critic Keith Spera wrote in The Advocate daily newspaper that the new album, "expands Morton's songwriting range beyond love and relationships" to include issues of the world at large. L. Michael Gipson of Soul Tracks writes that the set is, "Perhaps Morton's most grown and fulfilling in years." In short, producer 9th Wonder posted to his Instagram account that Gumbo is, "refreshing... this album is jamming."

PJ Morton is currently on a world tour with Maroon 5 in South America, however he has been staying busy touring non-stop as a solo artist in support of Gumbo all throughout summer and even after the Maroon 5 tour this month.

You can stream Gumbo on Apple Music and Spotify and buy it on Amazon and iTunes Store today. Stream the brand new music video for "Go Thru Your Phone" now.

Maroon 5 released their brand new single "What Lovers Do", featuring R&B singer SZA, last month as the lead single off of their highly anticipated sixth studio LP, set to be released later this year. In an interview with Apple Music's Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, Adam Levine spoke about the release date of the new record. "Our album comes out in November, I think," he begins to explain. "I'm a weirdo. I listen to mixes and and we're still even recording. We're doing a song right now, one of my favorite songs that we've ever recorded and I'm really really excited and we're just finishing it up now. So [the album] is not fully mixed yet."
