Maroon 5's PJ Morton scores 2 Grammy nominations

Maroon 5 was swept of any nominations for next year's Grammy Awards, however PJ Morton receives 2 nods for R&B

Maroon 5 touring keyboardist and R&B/soul musician PJ Morton has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, as confirmed on Tuesday. The singer and songwriter has been nominated for one Grammy before, for "Only One", featuring Stevie Wonder, in 2014. 

PJ Morton is nominated for Best R&B Album, for his latest studio LP Gumbo, and for Best R&B Song for "First Began".





The full list of categories and nominations were revealed early Tuesday morning. Maroon 5 have been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards throughout its career and have won 3. Their last Grammy win was for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Makes Me Wonder" in 2008.
